Yesterday I paid a visit to my Grandma. She is 88 years younger and a very tough lady.
Both my aunts were not home. Only Grandma and little brother.
Due to storm and poor weather conditions the previous night our area was facing power failure. It was 1:30 pm and luckily the sun did shine yesterday.
We had a jolly good time. We talked about the robbery that happened the previous night, about what’s going on in the neighbourhood, about our ailments and this and that.
We took a stroll around the flower garden, vegetable garden, fed the mother hen and her numerous chicks.
Finally in the evening we sat down together for a cup of tea. Nice and warm masala chai. Little brother was fighting with Grandma over petty issues and we all had a good laugh once it ended.
She was very concerned about my infection and cough. She promised me that she will talk to the Healer about it. And she narrated to me about the numerous times the Healer had saved her life.
I returned home before it got too dark and both my aunts arrived about 10 minutes after I had departed from there.
Oh we did have fun. Did I mention how strong she is? With one push of hers you might land up falling a few yards away.
If your grandparents are alive consider yourself lucky and do spend time with them. Those beautiful moments spent together will give you joy deep within.

I have so many memories of my grandma (the only grandparent I had growing up) and am trying to make memories with my own grandchildren. I feel blessed because even the oldest (18) comes by for visits a few times a week. And the youngest loves to plan card games with me….

Every child must understand and develop their relationship with their grandparents. They have a lot to teach us.
I never met my paternal grandmother and sometimes wonder what it might have been like.
I am happy that you have wonderful memories with your grandma and even more happy that your grandchildren visit you.
Make happy memories! π
Thank you so much for visiting! π
