This post is in response to :
Cee Neuner’s challenge Flower of the Day FOTD January 1,2019.
Your Daily Word Prompt by Sheryl.
Poinsettia
Also known as Christmas Star.
Derives its name from ‘Joel Roberts Poinsett’.
This plant has its origin in Mexico.
The flowers require abundant daylight for the brightest colour.
It is widely used as Christmas decoration.
There are claims relating to Poinsettias toxicity which is relatively mild. Its sap may cause temporary blindness in humans.
Finally I would like to conclude with a quote:
“I must have flowers
Always, always”
Monet
Let this beautiful quote also be our New Year Resolution.
Happy New Year 2019 to all my friends and readers!
