70 Years of Patience

This post is in response to Reena’s Exploration Challenge # Week 57 – Patience.

Sometimes Patience can be very rewarding

This post is inspired by the real story of Peggy Seale and Billy Harris.

“Peggy when I first met you

I knew this would be true

To my heart

And last forever.”

“Billy I knew this too

That you and only you

Would be my only one

And we will be together forever.

But when you went MIA

I couldn’t believe what I heard

I was looking for you everyday

And never have your memories blurred.

70 years later

I am still here

And Patience has been

My friend so dear.

I came to know

You died a hero –

Unsung for too long

But now they will remember us forever.
