Life in free fall

Reena’s Exploration Challenge – 56 : Broken person or thing, a person in free fall

Word of the Day Challenge – Quintessence

I wake up to another morning and the first thought that comes to my mind is you. Just like every morning, every day, every second.

It’s a harsh reality that I am having to face. I was never prepared for this.

You promised to be there always but you left. Knowing not what I would do without you.

There’s millions of people out there but there’s no one like you. It will be very difficult to replace you.

In good times…

You were the quintessence of love. Nothing ever came close.

It’s been two years since you left me behind for your journey into the other world, the other realm, the other side.

My life just stopped at that point.

My world ended there.

My life now is in free fall.

I don’t know how to move on.

My life is being pulled onwards by the coming days as a person is pulled by gravity.

You said, “I believe in you. I know you will be a very successful writer one day.”

Now I live only to prove you right. To make you proud. I promise. A quintessence of promise.

I hope you enjoyed reading.

Have a great day everyone.

Eternal love keeps one from breaking down completely. Read Sanah’s take ….

  2. “My life is being pulled onwards by the coming days as a person is pulled by gravity.” …. Lovely way of describing a free fall, and lack of a driving force in life. Thanks for joining in, Sanah!

  5. Anyone who has been in love and had this happen can truly appreciate this writing. It is a strange feeling to be without the special identity you had perhaps built for yourself. When we are in a relationship, we do build a special identity of who we are, according to the person we are with. I remember one relationship I was in where I focused so much on the other that when things ended, I felt as though I was a nothing. Thank you kindly.

    1. I can relate to that. It is indeed a very painful experience no matter what the reason behind the end of a relationship.
      Thank you for reading! 😊
      Have a great day ahead!
