Obsequiousness can prove to be fatal.
The best example I can give is of the Pied Piper of Hamlin.
Music was his weapon. Any living thing that was obsequious to his music ended up losing it’s life.
When the village people complained of the menacing rats, the Pied Piper very cleverly made them obsequious to his music and led them to the river where all of the rats except for a deaf one drowned.
But he was denied any reward for the service he offered. This infuriated him.
One fine day when the village people left for church leaving behind their children at home the Pied Piper came back but for revenge.
This time it was not the rats but the children who were obsequious to his music. They followed him.
He led them on the same trail as he had led the rats. The children thus met the same fate as the rats.
One deaf, other lame and a third blind child were left behind in the village to tell the tale to the elders upon their return.
Thank you for reading.
Have a nice day!
