Yesterday in the solitude of the night, in the light of a table lamp with the wandering insects to call my companions, I was going through a compilation of beautiful quotes.
And right then I found that one quote that uses words but goes way beyond them touching hearts, wrenching souls.
I think it’s important to realize you can miss something but not want it back. – Paulo Coelho

Like, just imagine a beautiful bright rose in a vase in your living room. It’s scent, it’s beauty everything is so captivating but then a day or two later it fades. You have no choice but to replace it. But you still miss it’s beauty. It’s there lingering in your thoughts.

Or maybe a bouquet of roses gifted by your love that you press between the pages of your book kept in a secluded drawer. But when you discover a secret affair it finally ends up in a dustbin or maybe the fireplace. Although you do miss the person you fell in love with but maybe, just maybe you don’t want them back.
Let me know how you feel about this quote or if there are any stories you would want to share.
Thank you for reading.
Have a great day everyone!

It’s a good quote. I like what you wrote about the pressed rose going in the dustbin after discovering your loved one has betrayed you. Some people would toss out the rose and the cheater. For years I missed my first love. After marrying my current wife, I realize that I would never take my ex girl back. She was part of my past. There’s no place for her in my present or future.
