There are small things happening around that we seldom fail to notice. But sometimes these small things hold a key to our problems.
Good morning friends, I am writing this post today to share my views regarding Depression.
Mental health has always been ignored. If someone behaves somewhat differently people say “He’s lost it. ” But is that so? Do you think it is?
This is where the word Depression steps in. When you look up this term in Google you will find this :
“A mental health disorder characterised by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.“
Okay this one sounds dangerous. But let me tell you what it is from my view point.
Take an empty bucket and an empty mug. Place both of them under a faucet. Now let the water from the faucet begin to flow into the empty bucket. Initially you will notice nothing significant.
Slowly as the water level begins to rise in the bucket you notice the empty mug in it moving to and fro.
Sometimes the empty mug tends to come beneath the flow of water from the faucet and gather some water but immediately moves away. Again it comes back for more and again it moves away. This to and fro movement continues until the mug is completely filled.
Once the mug gets completely filled it begins to sink. It drowns into the surrounding water of the bucket and slowly settles at the bottom surface.
This is exactly what happens during Depression. Here the water from the faucet are the depressing thoughts you get and that mug is you.
You will sink into Depression only if you allow those thoughts to flow in. Don’t let these thoughts fill your mind and heart.
We all have faced difficulties, rejections, failures and so many other negative feelings but don’t let these get to your heart.
If you ever feel lonely and depressed talk to a loved one who understands you well. Even if you are alone go out and spend some time shopping or maybe take a walk in the park, visit an orphanage, a nursery, an old age home or anywhere you please to go. You can even go to the gym and sweat out your problems but don’t just sit there and sink into Depression.
If you really think all of this is not helping then talk to a medical practitioner for help. You can also practice yoga.
Saffron and Zinc are known to fight Depression, you may include them in your diet in small quantities.
You are worthy of happiness. You are special to someone. If you know that then value yourself and break free of these chains of Depression.
Don’t sink into Depression.

Thank you for reading. Have a great day everyone!
I think this is a good definition. And the best part is that we can stop those thoughts if we learn and understand how to do it. This, of course, it won’t be overnight, but gradually implementing new thoughts and erasing the negative ones.

I have known more than a few people who struggle with depression. One thing about each of them is that they think a lot. They tend to live inside their mind. Medication helps to some extent, but it’s easy to get depressed again when one is alone too much with their thoughts. I have a friend who gets depressed often. When I suggest getting together and doing things, he will always say” “I’m too depressed.”

Yes this is what happens with people having depression. But we must together help them all come out of it. They deserve to be loved and they must understand that they are lovable and special.
